كانت Citation Mustang ردّ Cessna على طفرة الطائرات الخفيفة جدًا، وهي تصميم جديد كليًا بستة مقاعد وإلكترونيات طيران Garmin G1000 ومحركات PW615F دخل الخدمة في عام 2006. وصُنع منها نحو 480 طائرة حتى عام 2017، وتظل واحدة من أكثر الطائرات النفاثة ميسورية وموثوقية للمالكين الطيارين المنتقلين من الطائرات التوربينية المروحية (turboprop).
