The Falcon 50 was Dassault's first trijet and the first civil aircraft with a supercritical wing, certified in February 1979 after a first flight in November 1976. It paired the Falcon 20's fuselage cross-section with three TFE731-3 engines, an S-duct center intake and a range of about 3,000 nm. About 252 were built before the 50EX took over in 1997, and the design led directly to the Falcon 900.
