Le Legacy 500 a été le premier jet intermédiaire à commandes de vol entièrement électriques et a introduit en 2014 une cabine à plancher plat de six pieds de haut qui a redéfini les attentes de la catégorie. Environ 80 exemplaires ont été livrés avant qu’il n’évolue en Praetor 600, et beaucoup ont depuis été mis au standard Praetor grâce au programme de conversion d’Embraer.
