Announced at NBAA 2009 and certified by the FAA in February 2011, the Legacy 650 extended the Legacy 600's range to 3,900 nm with more fuel, uprated AE 3007A2 engines and a higher takeoff weight. It kept the three-zone, 14-seat cabin with a lowered aisle for more headroom, and from 2017 it was succeeded by the Legacy 650E with synthetic vision and autothrottle as standard.
