Why it is famous
Teterboro, in New Jersey, is the busiest business-aviation airport in the New York area and among the busiest in the world. It has no scheduled airline flights, sits about 12 miles from Midtown Manhattan, and has a 100,000-pound weight limit that keeps the very largest jets out.
The jet-set angle
From the FBO to a Midtown office can take under half an hour on a good day — which is the whole point. On busy days the ramps are lined with Gulfstreams, Globals and Challengers.
