Delivered to Qatar's royal flight in 2012, this 747-8 BBJ was gifted to the United States in May 2025, a transfer reported at around $400 million that prompted debate in Washington over foreign gifts. Stripped to bare metal in Texas and rebuilt with secure communications, it became the interim Air Force One in July 2026.
