KlasJet wins FAA approval for U.S. wet-lease work

KlasJet received FAA Part 129 operations specifications, clearing the way for U.S. ACMI and charter operations with Boeing 737NG aircraft. The approval adds U.S. access to its existing DOT, TSA and CBP clearances.

  • Approval: FAA Part 129 operations specifications
  • Date: September 25, 2026
  • Aircraft: Boeing 737NG fleet for ACMI and charter work
  • Market: U.S. flights to, from and within U.S. territory
  • Company: KlasJet, part of Avia Solutions Group

KlasJet can now offer U.S. airlines and charter customers wet-lease capacity after receiving FAA Part 129 operations specifications. The approval covers foreign air carrier operations to, from and within U.S. territory, within the limits of its operating specs and DOT conditions.

The company already had U.S. Department of Transportation, Transportation Security Administration and Customs and Border Protection approvals. Its U.S. pitch is based on Boeing 737NG aircraft supplied with crew, maintenance and insurance, a model known as ACMI.

This matters because the U.S. market has sharp seasonal swings and frequent capacity gaps. Instead of adding aircraft permanently, airlines can bring in short-term lift for peak periods, aircraft shortages or disruption. For a private jet and charter provider, it is also a move deeper into the borderland between executive aviation and airline capacity.
