ACJ says Middle East buyers are focusing on big jets and SAF
An Airbus Corporate Jets survey of 35 Middle East financiers and brokers found 83% expect large business jet activity to grow by 2030. The same share expects sustainable aviation fuel use to rise over the next five years.
- 35 Middle East financiers and brokers surveyed
- 83% expect large jet activity to increase by 2030
- 80% forecast higher light jet use
- 78% forecast higher midsize jet use
- 92% say buyers are putting more weight on fuel efficiency
Airbus Corporate Jets used the CJI Dubai week to publish a snapshot of Middle East business aviation demand. Its survey of 35 financiers and brokers points to growth across light, midsize and large jets, with the strongest expectation around large-cabin aircraft.
The numbers lean heavily toward expansion. ACJ said 83% of respondents expect large business jet flight activity to rise by 2030, while 80% see more light jet use and 78% expect more midsize use. The region also represents roughly one-third of the global bizliner fleet, and about 40% of its fleet is nearing a 15-year replacement cycle.
Why it matters: the Middle East is a small fleet market compared with North America, but it is influential at the top end. If buyers focus on range, connectivity, fuel efficiency and SAF access, manufacturers of big-cabin and bizliner aircraft have a clear sales case.
