Eclipse Aerospace Eclipse 550

The Eclipse 550 was the production revival of the Eclipse 500, the aircraft that launched the very-light-jet category, adding anti-skid brakes, synthetic vision and auto-throttles. Only about 35 were built by Eclipse Aerospace and One Aviation before production stopped in 2017, but the type's twin-engine safety and 65 gph fuel burn keep it popular with owner-pilots.

In short: The Eclipse Aerospace Eclipse 550 is a Very Light Jet with a range of 1,125 nm, a cruise speed of 375 knots and room for 4 passengers. Pre-owned examples trade around $1.4M–$2.2M and costs roughly $900 an hour to operate (estimate).
