- Projected range: up to 3,000 nautical miles
SyberJet brought its proposed SJ36 light jet to NBAA-BACE with a full-scale mockup and working SyberVision avionics panels. The company says interest has come from charter operators, corporate flight departments and private owners.
The headline figures are ambitious for a light jet: up to Mach 0.88, as much as 3,000 nautical miles of range and a 49,000-foot ceiling. SyberJet also said it has letters of intent for more than 50 aircraft, though those are not the same as firm orders.
The appeal is clear if the numbers hold. A light jet with true transcontinental range would sit in an unusual spot between owner-flown efficiency and larger-cabin capability. The next question is execution: certification, production funding and turning letters of intent into delivered aircraft.
