W Aviation, an FBO at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, has secured a new 30-year lease from the city and is moving ahead with a $25 million expansion. South Florida is one of the busiest private aviation regions in the U.S., and hangar space there is tight.
The plan adds two 20,000-square-foot hangars able to handle ultra-long-range business jets, plus three acres of new ramp. When finished, the facility is expected to reach 70,000 square feet of aircraft shelter and 15 acres of apron.
This is a good example of where private aviation money is going in 2026. Operators and owners are not only buying aircraft; they are chasing covered parking, better terminals and more room at airports where demand has outgrown older facilities.
