The original Boeing Business Jet, later called the BBJ1, combined the 737-700 fuselage with the stronger wing and landing gear of the 737-800, first flying in September 1998 with deliveries starting that November. Up to nine auxiliary belly tanks and optional blended winglets gave a range of about 6,200 nm with eight passengers, and 113 were delivered.
