Boeing Business Jets
Boeing Business Jets was launched in 1996 as a joint venture with General Electric to offer a VIP version of the 737-700, and the BBJ family has since grown to include the BBJ MAX 7, 8 and 9 as well as widebody 777X and 787 variants. More than 270 BBJs have been delivered to heads of state, corporations and private individuals, most completed by independent centers such as Jet Aviation, Greenpoint and Lufthansa Technik. Current production centers on the BBJ MAX 8, while BBJ MAX 7 deliveries await certification of the 737-7 airliner.
