Flexjet opens a private terminal at Farnborough
Flexjet has opened a new private terminal at Farnborough Airport near London, giving the fractional operator a more visible European home at one of the region’s busiest business-aviation airports. The facility is designed for owners rather than walk-up charter passengers, with lounges and a hospitality-style arrival flow.
AIN reports that the terminal includes a Gulfstream G700 cabin mockup, a bar for owners, training areas and operations offices. Farnborough already sits in the premium lane of U.K. private flying, so the new building is as much a brand statement as an airport facility.
The move matters because fractional providers are fighting for wealthy travelers who want consistency across continents. NetJets has long had scale in Europe; Flexjet is trying to show that its service model travels well outside North America. A dedicated terminal also gives it more control over the ground experience, which is often where private-jet customers notice delays, handoffs and service gaps.
