Textron Aviation Citation XLS Gen2
The XLS Gen2 was the fourth generation of the Citation Excel family, refreshing the cabin with new seats, lighting and a redesigned entry while keeping the Pro Line 21 cockpit and 2,100 nm range. It bridged the gap until the Citation Ascend entered service in late 2025 and inherits the Excel line's reputation for reliability and low costs.
In short: The Textron Aviation Citation XLS Gen2 is a Midsize Jet with a range of 2,100 nm, a cruise speed of 441 knots and room for 8 passengers. Pre-owned examples trade around $11M–$15M and costs roughly $2,300 an hour to operate (estimate).
