Airbus Corporate Jets is reading the Middle East as a major growth pocket for large private aircraft. Its survey of regional financiers and brokers points to a sharp rise in business-jet flying through 2030, especially for the biggest cabins.
The strongest number is 83% projected growth for large business-jet activity. The same survey sees 80% growth for light jets and 78% for midsize jets. Airbus also says the Middle East accounts for about one-third of demand for VIP-configured airliner-based jets.
The story is partly about replacement. Airbus says roughly 40% of the region’s business aircraft are at or nearing 15 years in service. That creates an opening for aircraft such as the ACJ TwoTwenty, which has 5,650 nautical miles of range and is aimed at buyers who want airline-size space in a private format.
