Die CJ2 ging 2000 als gestreckte CitationJet mit Williams-FJ44-2C-Triebwerken in Dienst, und 2006 folgte die CJ2+ mit FADEC-geregelten FJ44-3A-24-Triebwerken, höherem Startgewicht und einem aktualisierten Collins-Pro-Line-21-Cockpit.
